New Leadership Institute Launched
The Simmons University Institute for Leadership opens a new chapter.
The Simmons University Institute for Leadership opens a new chapter in the University’s longtime dedication to developing empowered women.
“The Institute will host global conferences and conversations, offer educational programs for corporate partners, conduct research studies, and develop other activities to advance women’s leadership,” wrote President Drinan in a message to faculty and staff.
Susan MacKenty Brady, pictured, a nationally renowned women’s leadership expert, has joined Simmons as managing director of the Institute. She most recently served as executive vice president of Linkage, Inc., a worldwide leadership development firm.
“I am honored and humbled to join an organization that has known the importance of empowering women for 120 years. This new Institute is a catalyst for expanding the University’s reach and for continuing to change the game for women around the world,” said Brady.
The Institute provides an organizational umbrella for Simmons’ existing Leadership Conferences, executive education programs, and Center for Gender in Organizations.
